There are a lot of reasons why Roblox has grown into a multi-billion-dollar company with millions of unique users every month. However, one of the major reasons Roblox brings in new players every month is because of their collaborations with almost everything from movies to sports teams. One would assume that only Roblox would benefit from putting their name out there with different entities, but if anything, raising awareness on a platform with millions of monthly users is very beneficial to the collaborator as well. Let’s take a look at 3 Roblox collaborations that were great for business.
Limited-Edition Items To Promote Stranger Things
With hundreds of millions of users between Netflix and Roblox, a collaboration was surely inevitable. While Roblox’s global community surely already had millions of Stranger Things fans, the exposure most likely brought in a lot more. In early July, before the premiere of Stranger Things’ third season, Roblox launched a limited-time event where players could get free virtual Stranger Things items like a Demogorgon mask. The only way to earn these limit-time items was to work through a series of puzzles in that three-day time span.
One of the best ways to drive action is to have such a small window of opportunity for any type of event. Psychologically speaking, this will always make people who want to participate drop whatever they’re doing in order to maximize their time and opportunity for anything. It was a smart strategy by both Roblox and Netflix as there was surely an influx of younger viewers who became new fans of one of Netflix’s more popular shows.
Collaboration With Liverpool Football Club
If you’re looking for a smart collaboration, then look no further than teaming up with one of the more well-known British football teams: Liverpool FC. Just like with Netflix, we’re sure the collaboration did more for Liverpool FC than it did for Roblox. The limited-time collaboration introduced a 2019/2020 home kit with shirts from 11 of the best players on LFC’s first team.
This allowed Roblox players to show off their Liverpool FC pride while introducing younger plays to the world of organized sports. While it may not have brought a lot of footballers to the world of Roblox, we’re sure there was a decent payout for Roblox for great advertising on behalf of Liverpool FC. While financially, there’s no doubt about the financial benefits for both sides, but just the impact of connecting millions of Roblox players with millions of football fans in a show of support was great for both collaborators.
Roblox And Godzilla Team Up For Education
You can’t go wrong with introducing the next generation to both education and giant monster battles. Roblox used its third Creator Challenge to award Roblox players exclusive items in collaboration with the Godzilla: King of The Monsters movie. This Creator Challenge was geared for younger students who don’t have any coding experience, to learn how to make their own Roblox games at their own convenience.
Roblox isn’t new to educating young minds with free tutorials and content for teachers to help their students with a basic understanding of coding. With the world evolving at an ever-changing pace, it’s nice to know they’re focusing on the next generation who will help build the world of tomorrow by learning to code at a young age. Their coding studio, Roblox Studio, is used all over the world to work with young coders-to-be on everything from basic coding to game design. Pretty impressive for a company many in the gaming community look down upon for being childish. They are actively out in the community looking to engage young minds. The sponsorship from Warner Bros. Entertainment was surely an investment to get more eyes on their Godzilla movie, but it was also a great investment for the young minds of the next generation.
Avengers: Endgame-themed Egg Hunt In Roblox
Surely, the biggest movie of the year wasn’t going to ignore the opportunity to build hype for the final Avengers movie of the decade. The Avengers movie was surely already going to have a lot of younger viewers anyway but reminding about 90 million more people that the Avengers: Endgame was going to premiere soon was a smart move on Disney’s part.
The annual Roblox egg hunt was deemed the “Roblox Egg Hunt 2019: Scrambled In Time” that hid a little over 50 eggs across different games on Roblox. This was a smart move to get players to try different games and bring exposure to lesser-known games and developers. A hub created for the Easter egg hunting event hosted puzzles in order to find the Avengers-themed eggs. While players could look out for items such as Captain America’s shield or the mask of Captain Marvel, the main takeaway for finding all six Avengers eggs was Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet itself. Who wouldn’t want to have the Infinity Gauntlet strapped to their avatar’s hand?
The collaboration between Disney and Roblox was one of the smartest moves of the year. Avengers: Endgame received even more hype and Roblox brought fresh eyes on different Roblox games. It also brought some fresh Avengers gear into the game itself.
That’s it from us, for now
We’re looking forward to some fresh collaborations in the future as Roblox continues to grow, give a great marketing boost to various organizations, and most importantly, educating the young minds of tomorrow with valuable coding experience. As always thanks for reading a post created by FreeRobuxEarner, we wish you a wonderful day!
